Eva had a birthday this week. Now she is an excited and energetic 4 year-old. To “celebrate” her big day I took her to the dentist. I know, probably not the nicest thing to do to a child on their birthday. And keeping with that theme, the next day I took her to the doctor for a check-up. She got 5 shots! Again, not the nicest thing to do to the birthday girl. But hopefully those booster shots will allow her to have many, many more birthdays to come.
Here she is waiting at the doctor’s office.
Now that Eva is a big kid she sounded out and wrote her first word all by herself. The word she chose was “booger.” What parent wouldn’t be proud.
Speaking of boogers. This morning she was drawing a picture of Stephen. She said, “Here is his nose. And here is his boogers.” It’s her attention to details that impresses us as her parents. Hopefully her vocabulary and spelling ability will expand as she gets older. That would really make us proud relieved.
